Cloud and DevOps

About this Course

Cloud Computing is the delivery of computing services—like servers, storage, databases, networking, software, and analytics—over the internet (“the cloud”). Instead of owning physical hardware or data centers, organizations can rent computing resources from cloud providers like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This helps reduce costs, increase scalability, and improve accessibility. Cloud computing models include IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service).

DevOps is a combination of Development (Dev) and Operations (Ops) that focuses on collaboration, automation, and continuous delivery of software. It aims to shorten the software development life cycle and improve the quality of deployments. DevOps practices include Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Monitoring & Logging. Common DevOps tools include Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible.

Together, Cloud and DevOps enable faster, more reliable software delivery and efficient use of computing resources — forming the backbone of modern IT infrastructure and automation.
